170310-13 Gstaad (54)Sometimes when you love a place so much, and the people of this place even more, you simply have to go back. And this is just what I did: I went back to the Oberland of Switzerland, for the winter edition this time.

Many of you have already seen the wonders of snowy mountains and compelling slopes before, so I will not go on describing the serenity, pleasure, freedom and pure happiness I felt. You know the feeling too; but I will attempt to revive it in you with a few shots of peaks, sun and snow in abundance [insert sigh of nostalgia here].

Now, regarding the wonderful people whom I love and welcomed me in their home again, I will respect their privacy and not post here the many great shots I have of them. Still, one of the ones who greeted me so warmly can appear here and –for the love of dogs!– she deserves my gratitude too.

And now, without giving you the gritty details, here is one of the recipes for the classic Bullshot drink that you can enjoy on your break from the slopes. I certainly did.
 

Bullshot Cocktail

5/10 of vodka
5/10 of cold beef stock
2 to 4 drops of Worcestershire sauce
1 drop of Tabasco
1 pinch of grated nutmeg

Mix all the ingredients in a tumbler, with ice if you wish. Serve cold, with a slice of lemon (optional).

 
I hope this simple post gave you a few minutes of mind escape in a busy day. We can all do with some mind travel sometimes.
